Our Story
TABAT started with a simple observation from twenty years in the jewelry trade: most women own two or three pieces of "real" jewelry they are nervous to wear, and a drawer of pieces they don't love. The good jewelry stays in the safe. The everyday jewelry looks like everyday jewelry.
We wanted to make the third drawer — the one you actually wear. Pieces with the proportions, settings and finish of fine jewelry, in 925 sterling silver with moissanite and premium cubic zirconia, at a price you can enjoy without a family-budget conversation.
What we believe
Proportion is everything. A tennis bracelet looks expensive because the stones are the right size and the right distance apart, not because they are big. A solitaire reads as real when the stone sits in a proper four-prong or bezel setting on a slim band. We build to fine-jewelry proportions, not to "as big as possible."
Say exactly what it is. Every piece lists its metal and its stone. Sterling silver is sterling silver, stamped 925. CZ is CZ. Moissanite is moissanite. You should never have to guess, and you should never be embarrassed to answer when someone asks.
Make it for real life. Shabbos, simchas, work, carpool, Pesach in Florida. Jewelry that has to be babied doesn't get worn. Ours is made to be put on and forgotten about.
Who we are
We're a family business in Lakewood, New Jersey. We've spent two decades making and selling jewelry, and we bring that to every piece here: the clasps we choose, the way stones are matched, the way a box feels when it's handed to someone.
Thank you for wearing TABAT. If you have a question about anything, email info@tabatjewelers.com — we read every message.
